I'm afraid this won't be received well, that most will think it is a stretch for this particular challenge - but I really like it and want comments on it - especially concerning....

My Editing Dilemma: We have ACDSee and Paint Shop Pro7 - I use ACDSee for all editing - it's very user friendly for me - I'm overwhelmed by Paint Shop (at this point in time since I'm still so new to editing and all). However, I sometimes really like to add a border - especially in this case - and can only do this in Paint Shop (is there a way to add a border in ACDSee?). So I do all editing in ACDSee, save, go to Paint Shop, open, add border, and save again. All I do in Paint Shop is add the border - but it seems that I get a bit of noise from doing this - and it seems unavoidable unless I don't do the border at all. Even the despeckle/blur/sharpness features in ACDSee do not seem to help to get my image back the way I wanted it before the border. ???
Specifically for this image - the noise around blocks and arms - were not there until after I added the border in Paint Shop Pro 7. Suggestions???

As always, thank you for any and all comments - I can't learn without them!

All auto settings on camera and natural sun light.

Slight crop, re-size, saturation, blackpoint, despeckle, sharpness, and of course, the Paint Shop border. :o)

The colours are very stylish in this shot (how do you do that?!) and the pose is adorable.

The blocks look like a person, but what are they personifying?

Nicely composed, looks over sharpened, the selective desat is overkill. I think it's a stretch for meeting the challenge.

Nice colors. I wonder what you could have done with the blocks alone on that backgraound.

I like the space around the subject & that you've chosen to place them off center. Small children can be difficult subjects and you've handled it well. I'm on the fence however, with the constructed human forms. 6

I love this picture and the pink effect given. A great print shot I think. Just not the right challenge. So, it would have been a 9 as a stand-alone. But in this context, well ...
