Beautiful capture... one thing... to me the picture seems to tilt on the left side... try to rotate it 1° to the right and recrop... you'll see a positive différence...

Hello from the critique club. While many chose something bright or fun to celebrate in this challenge, I like how you chose to celebrate something a bit simpler - nature and it's beauty.

I agree with many of the voters that you wonderfully captured the fog. Terrific mornign light exposture as well. For me, the water fowl add the bit of needed interest to keep it from being a run of the mill scenic landscape.

My eyes keep being drawn to the tree in the middle when I look at your image. Sometimes, I personally find that keeping the main subject(s) slightly off-center, it keeps me a bit more interested.

Overall however, a really terrific shot. One to be proud of.

I'd love to see this as a large print hanging on the wall. Beautiful!

Just because I like fog I'll give a 6. I'm not a big fan of "fitting a photo to the challenge" but this is pretty good.

This subject is strong enough to ribbon. You chose a great time of day with a wonderful weather condition - one to envy for sure. Picking nits I'd say the comp should have caught more water, less sky and panned more to the right to get the swans further in - or, to have stayed left and shot earlier before they moved out of shot. Very serene indeed - and I can celebrate such natural beauty time and again.

Beautiful picture! Doesn't say "celebration" just like that, but it is a beautiful shot. ~7

Nice scenic photo. While I agree that nature is indeed something to celebrate - your photo gives me more a feeling of peace and tranquility than celebration.

maybe next time you could set the horizon out of center, to get a little tension in your photo.

This is so different from anything I see....I find it delightful and surreal at the same time. Thank you for sharing.

Nice capture with the fog and great lighting. Might benefit from a slight clockwise rotation (the horizon may be level, but the pattern of the fog makes it look tilted a bit).

Is that you, Robert? if not, then somebody who has been studying your style. the mist is really good and gives the photo a very nice feel

wonderful photo, love the mist. cropping the shore at left might improve the shot, if only to reduce the number of elements in the shot. very nice.

Outstanding shot! I expect you'll ribbon on this one. Great job even if it is mariginal for the challenge topic. Despite my not feeling it's on topic much I gave it my highest rating. Just too beautiful not to rate high. I gave it an 8.. Wouid have been 9 for me if I thought it was more on topic. Again, beautiful shot!

well done
though that horizon is cutting the frame in two .. either a crop or pulling up or down would have helped some ...

Beatiful landscape and scenery. There is always something mystical and magical about early morning fog that blankets the landscape that casts a spell of enchantment. This one does so as well BUT I think that if you brought a certain subject more into play as a focal point it would have strengthened this shot by moving it from good to excellent. My eye almost immediately wandered to the lower right hand corner to where the swans are (the could also be ducks but from this distance I cannot be sure). Bringing those birds into a more prominent focus would greatly introduce living creatures into an otherwise predominently landscape scene. There is life here and having these two birds maybe fill 20-30 % of the frame would show that to us as well as give us an additional object of interest to gaze upon.

I find the overexposure on the upper right distracting.

I love the fog on this...I wish there were more of a focal point though.

Good job

Surely there must be *some* challenges that can't be answered with a nice landscape. I think this is one of them - 1
