 A shot taken off the hip at the San Diego Zoo. i really like the framing, and love the hand on the plexiglass towards the animal on display. Wish the girl could have been in better focus, but I still think this is a groovy shot...it feels very wistful to me.

Auto settings for camera. When I got it home I did some levels, curves, and a bit of saturation adjustment.

Very interesting artistic choice here... I like shots that make me wonder what the creator was thinking. Why did you choose to have the focus from the orangutan's perspective rather than the people's? All technical aspects of the photo aside, that is what really captivates me about this shot.

I think this would have been better had the DOF been reversed. If the orangutan was in focus, then the viewer's attention is changed and the image is seen in a whole different light.
