Were you really trying for a brown. If so, I'm embarrassed to say I like this :(
If not, perhaps it got punished for being abstract, or perhaps too many people looked for "something" besides color in the shot. But the beautiful continuous tones and combinations in the color are very nice. Perhaps a crop on the left to making it close to square, with the two colors playing against each other and combining in the bottom right quadrant might have been a bit compositionally stronger. (Still may not have done well in this crowd, but a good pic anyway.) |

there is a tutorial on how to shoot for brown.. i read it before i shot my brown ribbon winning shot.
make the image smaller and give it a title like - 'There was in my glassis for close on televison with watch the cartoon you did it'
however focus was perfect for brown. |

Actually, the yellow tone in the lower right takes away from the red/green complementary colour contrast in this photo. |

Foe me, this photo actually reminds me of some type of graphic gradation background that would be used in a psychedellic poster or graphic arts brochure. There really is not focal point for me, and so I have given this a low score. |

I don't get the title, I don't know what this is, but as far as I am concerned, it meets the challenge beautifully. |

There is no distinct object or anything. Its basically just a blur of colors that you put together. |

I see red and green, but that's it. There isn't really a focal point. Technically it meets the challenge. |
