 I really wanted to submit a shot for an open challenge this week since I had an idea for "coffee shop" but I only had the time to take that shot today and it didn´t turn out well. I was pretty bummed so I just figured I would try another splash shot since I already know how to do them and they took little effort, I didn´t really expect this to do well, had my hopes for a 6+ though but come on? Since when do red and cyan not complement each other? I can´t believe how anal people can be wether a shot fit´s the challenge or not... Oh and I am terribly sorry about the cheesy and idiotic title, I am just very sleepy (just over 1 am when I submit this) so I just couldn´t think of anything better...

Taken at 148mm, lit with 2 flashes from above that were reflected with silver umbrellas. The image was a bit tilted to the left so I corrected that and cropped accordingly, did a small adjustment with shadow/highlight, curves and finally sharpened after resizing.

I got the idea from a shot Sissi did in "Stock photography II" Cool and refeshing....

love the idea but dont think it really meets the challenge of complementary colors. The picture itself is wonderfull though

A superb berry splash in a wine glass. I feel, however, that the reflected colors along the edges of the glass detract from the composition as a whole--perhaps a larger plain background was in order? The stem feels cut off at an odd place--something unbalanced about it too me. I'll let others help you decide if these are complementary colors...

Fine splash shot, but to show a the complementary colour for the strawberry, your background would have been a pale green tone. Or else, keep the blue toned background and splash something yellow/orange into the glass!

I love the photo but it has no comp colors. This would hav e done so much better in beverages.
