I really like this - one of my highest votes - good work! I'd like it even better if the background were green - so as to stick to the very true comp coloring - but the blue looks great also and I don't know much except that I like it! |

This was a difficult challenge to work on... people's opinions differ on what the complementary colours are, mainly depending on whether they are working with a system based on Red, Yellow and Blue as their primary colours (subtractive colour) or a system of Red, Green and Blue (additive colour) as their primary colours.
For this challenge, I believe either system is acceptable.
Complementary colours are pairs of colours that contrast strongly when compared to each other. The main colours in your image are the red of the dice and the blue in the background. The white spots are neutral, and the bubbles carry a greenish reflection, but the dominant colours are red and blue.
I think your photo would have been a stronger submission if you had used a rich dark green in the background to enhance the effect of the dice, or else kept the beautiful blue background and made the dice closer to a yellow-orange so as to enhance the complementary contrast with the background.

A good shot Fetor but it doesn't meet the challenge for complimentary colors. I remember you posted this on a thread after your trip so that's why I knew it was yours as soon as I saw it. The bubbles are great as well as the focus. |

this is nice. some people may say red and blue aren't true complementary colors but i don't give a rip. they work very nicely together. i like how you've captured falling objects and bubbles without it being too violent. this seems peaceful. nice job. |

This challenge seems to have brought out some really terrific images. I can only guess the approach you have taken to get this shot. The bubbles give the image life, the colours attract attention. This is good. I like it. |

I don't see 2 complementary colours. |

The dice look red to me, which is not the complimentary color of blue. I would have scored this well in the bubble challenge. |

I like the originality of this alot. IT's spot on clearly focused as well. My only complaint is that the blue isn't more vivid and contrasting to the red. |

Very nice image, but blue and red are both primary colors. These are not complementary colors. |
