I like this shot a lot in terms of layout, but I would have preferred a slightly bigger depth of field so the salt/pepper and especially the mug in front aren't quite as fuzzy as they are. The back part is also grainy, did you try neatimage?

a little too much selective focus

I REALLY like this composition, as this is what I think about when I think "coffee shop", but I am confused about the focus. The focus is on the spilt sugar. IMO, I would have focused on the edge of the coffee cup, making IT the subject of the picture, and have everything else blurred out and in the background.

Nothing in this image seems to be in sharp focus. With such a narrow DoF this is particularly important.

Interesting perspective, I would crop out the salt shaker and focus more on the subject.

Good old Tim's. There seems to be a lot of noise in the photo.

One of my personal favorites... I love the opened sugar packets and the sugar on the table. Great use of DOF to create interest and depth. Nice warm tones as well. :)

Excellent DOF

Its a pity you couldn't wring more DOF out of this because the sugar sachets just don't look like the right point of interest.

The salt and pepper shakers seem to draw my attention too much. Perhaps if the sugar pakets were located where the salt and pepper were?

This has a very snap shot feel to me. Not very artful or creative. Sure, you'd see it in a coffee shop, but that's kind of where it stops for me.

Good use of DOF but focus is not on one thing that really makes the photo

love everything about this - something really worth focusing on in that narrow focus range would put me over the top on this. Glasses, a nice pen, but discarded sugar packets is a little disappointing. The colors, focus, framing, exposure, layout, love love love it. This is great work - 7
