Well this one is a bit blown and just bright. Typically its the camera trying to get both ends of the range and thats why camera's blow. Even with editing its hard to pull anything out of the highlights. If shooting for this particular image EV -1 and then use photoshop to pull details out of the shadows to compensate. More can be pulled out of shadows then highlights.

i like this a lot. would be a bit nicer if you could get a little more definition outta the word starfire. burn the letters or something? very nice though
