Hello and greetings from the Critque Club.
I think you had a good concept for the challenge. With a few tweaks and adjustments (and a brighter day), I think this shot would improve.
overall, I would have liked to seen it a bit more in focus. The composition isn't bad, but I agree with other voters during the challenge that having a bit more room under her boots, and not having them sit on the border would be more effective.
While the girl herself appears to be celebration, the majority of your photo is a bit on the dark side. Had this been a brighter, sunnier day, I think the message would be even stronger.
Like I said, you had a good idea - it shows me you have creativity. Keep up the nice work and try different times of the day to see how natural lighting affects your main subject.
I look forward to seeing you enter future challenges. Thank you. |

Really doesn't get close enough to the challenge |

I like non set-up shots to cacth a moment. A bit of sharpness and recomposing for feet not to touch lower border would make it better. |

looks blurry to me. I think if it was in focus, it would be great. |

The negative space here does not work very well, and it looks out of focus |

fun picture! like the composition. the model does not stand out as much against the water, though, due to the evening light. i would love to have seen this shot with different lighting to really have her pop out of the image like the star she's going to be. |

IMHO the girl should be a little higher in the picture -- rule of thirds. I also think there should be more contrast. As long as you have the more liberal editing rules, could you have made the girl a little lighter to set her off from the background? |

She's almost saying "Get Ready World because Here I Come!". Great capture. |

For me, I wish the overall tone was brighter, not so....overcast or dark. I do like the composition and her oustretched arms. Nice pink boots too. :-) |

I wish she were in better focus. The lighting diminishes the effectiveness. I think if she were wearing bright white or maybe red, she would have stood out more. I still like it overall and the composition is good. Not a fan of the long title. |
