 This is the Indian River Lagoon. It is the major landmark for my area. A source of recreation and tourism, as well as a nursery for countless aquatic creatures. It is being systematically destroyed by toxic drainage from Lake Okechobee. This image probably won't do well because it is not an architectural landmark; but it is truly around my every corner.

I really like this shot. It is very expressive. My only criticism would be perhaps a crop so less of the black water in the foreground. Maybe a bump up on the saturation to bring out the colors in the sunset. Nice composition. The tree on the left gives it good perspective.
