 Taken around 10pm..incandescent lighting in barn.I set up tripod outside the barn door and put two water buckets where I would be standing to take the shot..tried different exposures, but I liked the look of this one because it seemed to best represent the lighting inside; set self timer and ran to pick up my water buckets so I would be a silhouette in the picture...one bucket was always swinging so it's a little out of focus..levels, selective color, unsharp mask, hue/saturation, duotone conversion and cropped..some people will say it's too dark, but it is accurately representing the lighting in my barn: I only have a few incandescent lights in there...

Terrific image. The light on the stall wall/door is beautiful. The ovwerall effect of the softness of the light is one of tranquility ... should score well

Beautifully executed rich B&W ... actually I think it's a duotone? The composition is simple yet stylish, and the combination of shadows & highlights is almost theatrical (I mean that as a compliment). Love the details just visible in the stall on the right; the horse and the light on the bars above the door. The light source is nicely incorporated without overpowering the shot, and the multiple shadows in the lower right foreground are fascinating. Nice image. 9.

I love that this is unexpected and not the typical landscape. The silhouette is perfect and this image and title couldn't suit the challenge better. The placement of the figure is right where it should be in order to send the eye to it and give the sense of movement as you walk away, carrying the buckets. Spot on lighting too. I even like that flare up in the rafters!! The filter is that brown/gray that I like so much and it is the perfect addition to this image to really give it some POW. Good job. 9
