"Uisge Beatha" is Gaelic for "Water of Life", and this very Gaelic phrase leads to the better known word for this liquid "Whisky"

Way too high key - I can see what you liked about this picture, but the back of the glass is missing, the poured liquid has turned invisible and I think the post processing hurt it.

i love highkey, but I wish tha tI could see the stream of liquid going into the glass too, its too blown out to see, which distracts.

Simple, forthright composition works well. For me, I think it would enhance the shot to have both the glass and the bottle in focus to bring more attention to the liquid pouring out.

Yum. Nice high-key effect. Bit of a large one though, isn't it? :-)

I find the subject too simple without much else to add interest. Also the picture is so overexposed to make me want to shield my eyes.

the background was too bright, it does distract me from seeing the object captured inside the pic.

Nice image. But this is too bright though. The lighting causes part of the glass to be faded out of the picture. Good job.

Overexposed for my taste - not an easy shot.

Lighting is way too bright - it washes out detail on the edges of the glass. Detail could be sharper, especially on the rim of the bottle. Good composition.

Too bright. It hurts to look at it.

Nice, though it seems a bit over-exposed.

Darker background or different lighting would have helped the pouring... hmm, is it whiskey or scotch? Anyhow, would have helped the stream of liquid show up better and not made the top of the glass rim fade so badly into obscurity. (The label's too unclear to be sure, but it half looks like it says Malt, which would imply scotch, hmm....) I like the capture of the swirl of the added liquid, and the fact that you used an actual old-fashioned glass. (Okay, that's going to drive me nuts all night. I know Uisge is pronounced pretty much as 'whiskey' but it's also the right language to be, well, Scotch...)

contrast too high, details lost.

As a Scot, I always enjoy a good dram. Here, however, the sharpness (not of the palate, of the image) leave a little to be desired. Sorry to be blunt, but the overall effect is a little banal.
