 The state fair was in town and I thought this shot of the sunset worked.

This is wonderful. The lighting and colors make the subject stand out and add eye appeal. Nicely seen and composed.

Strong composition. Lovely sky and just the right amount of contrast in the foreground. Personally I think it should have scored higher. I guess it wasn't "from the ground up" enough for some voters - very picky lot they are.

This must be the fair time of year, as this is the third shot in a row I've voted on. For me, this photo appears more of a direct or side view rather than from the ground up, but I really, really like the colors of that sky - tremendous.
