Greetings from the Critique Club
I love to see these lacy branches as they blossom from the trunk. You've done a good job of keeping them in focus.
It may be that the gray sky worked against you just a little. If you had been able to find an angle where you could have captured that blue sky against all the background branches, it would have really helped this image.
It would be nice to see this image photographed on the diagonal to give the image more power and excitement. And, perhaps (and I'm guessing here) the interest factor of the tree receding into the distance just wasn't strong enough to appeal to our voters. This might explain the rather low score you received on this really quite nice image.
I wish you good luck in future Challenges and look forward to seeing more of your work. |

For me, I like to see the main subjects slightly more off center as it adds more interest to the viewer. My favorite part is in the very upper left corner and the pattern of the branches against the blue of the sky. |
