 This has been a photo with a lot of preparation, I had the idea as soon as the challenge was posted but had to find out the right bottle. The main problem here was that flaming alcohol has very low light so I ended up with a 30sec exposure, but of course I could not light the bottle with only the flame, so during the shot, after 5 seconds I turned off the main light so only the blue flame was visible. Unfortunately I couldnt get a blue-orange flame, I didnt know how to achieve it (as I was flaming alcohol).
I hope you enjoy this shot... Am I getting closer to the ribbon now?.

Post processing: Just a bit of levels, but mainly I got on cammera what I wanted.

Thought you would have placed higher. I guess there aren't many people out there who have experimented w/ lighting alcoholic beverages on fire-I however have. I am very impressed with the classy composition, the dark background causes you to really focus on the subject. Nice job.

You Relied Too Much On The Flames To Light The Area Surrounding The Shot Glass...That Area Is Too Dark

flame reflections could have make the composition stronger IMO.

There were a number of "flame" pics. I like the blue in this one. It's a nice capture and the bottle is interesting. I'll give it a 9 with the understand I may bump it slightly down after I get through all the voting... ;)
