 Took picture of the bottle then used it as the background on my computer screen and moved a lighter around in front of it (which explains the banding). The bottle got distorted because I had to shoot from an angle so the flash wouldn't reflect on the screen. I had to use flash because it's the only way I can get a slow enough shutter speed with my camera. :( I think it came out alright. It took me a lot of tries. I had a lot of other ideas with the hot sauce but this was the coolest one.

I would have preferred a wider angle to see the liquid and its bottle a little more. :)

Very good idea! The flame is blown out and overexposed and lacking in detail. Also, I would have liked to have seen the bottle from the side, and not head on. The black background goes very well with the flame and I think you can have a very effective photo if you improve your technique.

If the flame were somewhat less bright -- er, I hope that's meant to be flame, but I presume it is -- I think this would have worked better. Interesting use of focus so the bottle is clear; I think that's feeding into the brightness, though.

I think I understand what you were trying to do here but the focus is way off. Flames are much more dramatic when the focus is sharp and not blown out in the color.

Good concept. A better execution would have helped. The fire is fine as blurry, but I would have liked a better look at the bottle.
