OK, definitely missing something here. Here is the workflow I use in Photoshop. I imagine it is the same in Photoshop Elements and anything else that has some basic photo editing abilities:

Crop Image to desired composition.
Menu: Image - Image Size (don't worry about dpi, just set the largest dimension to 640, the rest is done for you)
Menu: File - Save for Web (there is a quality slider in PS that allows you to control JPG compression so you end up with a file as close to 150KB as possible.

That's it. Others who are more advanced resize down to around 100kb and do a final pass with USM, but I don't. It shows too :)

Can't really tell what this is.

Next time, you might want to try a larger picture, and a clearer one, too.

With the small image size it's hard to make out what I am suppose to be seeing in the pic. Try to size images to the full 640px allowable by DPC. (at least in one of the directions - horizontal or verticle -- or both)

too small to vote for..

Dark, muddy, looks out of focus. A larger picture might have helped.

hard to read background==too small

Photo is way to small to properly judge, the beverage is too dark to see.
09/29/2005 11:45:21 AM
This picture to too small to see any of the detail. The colours seem to be interesting though.

Too small and too red.
09/29/2005 11:20:29 AM
Way too small and too blurry. I do like the colors though.

For me, I wish there was more overall focus. The overall bright orange tone is a bit much, but I do like the angle you chose to shoot from. Shows creativity.

I would have liked to have seen this as a larger image so that I could fairly rate the image.

Bad quality image. Placement and lighting are interesting, though.

I think that this picture is good except it is just too small
09/28/2005 12:00:45 PM
really too small to see, but looks like it would be interesting!

Couple of observations. The picture is small to appreciate. (Review tutorial on downloading). Light source is very distracting with very harsh shadows
09/28/2005 03:35:35 AM
is there a drink in there???
09/28/2005 02:39:15 AM
cluttered background so can't makeout the picture properly

You need some practice or advice on how to resize and submit photos. Thumbnail was intriguing, can't see nothing more after opening. Way too small...
