 My first roadrunner! I was quite excited. One of my goals for this trip was to see one. My traveling companion spotted this guy sitting on a beam on the side of the road so we pulled over to take a picture. This was actually taken from the car. When I got out to try to get a closer shot he took off. Not the best shot, but it will have to do until my next trip out west!

Fantastic picture of a roadrunner. We have one here in the neighborhood and that sucker is VERY difficult to get. They tend to blend into their environment well so even if you snap a pic, it usually isn't very good. Wonderful color here.
