Very interesting image.. I like the bubbles floating in background, tilt of image is great. There's a lot of background stuff but it adds to the image immensely...very creative idea. |

I was just going to let this slide but I figured you might want to hear what I thought about this picture even though it might sting a little bit. Just keep in mind that this is just my opinion and what the hell do I know anyways...
At first I didn´t even seen any bubbles. There is simply way way way too much going on in this shot in the backround that my eye immediately went for the cars in the backround, then the street signs, then the licence plate of the Huyundai and finally the guys and after about 5 seconds looking and looking I finally noticed a couple of bubbles drifting along there on the right side. In short, WAY too much going on in the shot and that makes the bubbles seem like an insignificant portion of the shot, I wouldn´t be surprised if many people have voted on this shot as being off topic, however, I won´t be one of them.
I think making this shot sepia was a bad choice as it makes the guys and bubbles really blend into the backround and also I would say that having the whole scene in the DOF is also a bad choice but I don´t know if you simply had to do it that way, depends on what camera you used obviously. I still like the lighting, it´s well exposed and in focus and nothing wrong with that department.
Anyway, ended up giving this 4... Sorry for the rant and if you disagree then just completely ignore me, like I said, what the hell do I know :o) |

I got it...It's hard to understand the picture, but the man on the left is trying to sell a bubble blower? |

A candid street shot showing action and people in an everyday scene - but what gets lost is the bubbles. There is so much present in this photograph for the eye to look at and observe that the bubbles get dwarfed and are hardly noticed. Perhaps if you had chosen the composition to show 2 to 3 elements that domiinate the scene those bubbles might not be so lost in the shot. Just as an example: Centering the composition on the two gentlemen intent on their conversation. Shown from the waist up the viewer would see their expressions as they are speaking to one another and there floating behind or around the man in the white shirt is a ton of bubbles ...... |

I love the juxtaposition of the characters with the street and the bubbles - really different - awesome! |

I think this picture is way to busy for what the challenge is. Also I had to look for a bit to find the bubbles in the shot. |

I like that this image is in B&W. Not sure if I like the tilt too much. |
