This image is such a great metaphor for our day and age. I even like the black line that cuts across - as tho' to say if we pass it, there's no going back. I can just see this photo in The Economist magazine. Picture-wise, noticed the "burnt" edges of the trees. Make them look like they've been pasted on. A small detail but wondered what might have caused that. Also, don't know if saying the white balance seems a tad off but it looks like that to me. Still, an 8 for being so "deep".

Ya know, I like the fact that there aren't any cars at this gas station. The sky looks very dark compared to the light along the yellow portions of the building and there seems to be some "neon-like" areas around the trees on the right.

Interesting lighting and very interesting composition. Most people would give a crapload of sky. Think this works infinitely better. Centered works for me as well. 7

dont really see this as a destination, unless your saying you need gas? just doesnt appeal to me, feels like you took the easy way out and photographed gas maybe?

a gas station where the logo is an up arrow... never a good sign.
