WOW that is an awesome shot! Yeah you sharpened a lot, but it doesn't look bad at all. I am surprised that this is 6th instead of 1st. Great Shot, good lighting!

Sharpened to within an inch of everyone's lives, but I still love it to bits: fav'd.

Whoa... it appears like a cut-out cat on top of a rock background! The cat's fur is great.

Look at his speckled feet!! Wow, what a beautiful feline. I like this a lot. I wish maybe the background was in focus too, but it's ok.

7 - Good shot, and - 'interesting'. Perhaps because, in my opinion, despite your title, this 'big cat' looks 'domesticated', or (not sure how to explain it), this shot has a 'sad feel' to it, a little 'cold' (zoo effect - or maybe that is what you meant with 'ever aware' - apologies if so). Criticism; the top of the head/ears, seem 'unnatural', dodged/burned-like, but that might just be the angle. Slightly different crop, especially the fore, retaining 'the rule(s)', which you have, may have made this a better shot in my opinion, not sure. The more I look at this shot, the more 'vacant' it seems. As for the Challenge though, while no expert, you seem to have used the rule(s) well, especially with the eyes. Colors are good/nice.

Lovely capture. I like his far off gaze. Good clarity and focus. His placement in the shot is as if you picked him up and put him there. This would work as a study in black and white too. I think there is enough contrast of tones to carry it off. Just a thought. Nicely done.

Nice zoo shot. This is going to get extra points because of big pussy cat appeal. I still find that he/she should be a little more over to the left.
