 This is a shot I took out on my visit to the Aran Islands earlier this week. There has been a whole lot of worrk done to the color and contrast in this picture, as you will probably see. Mainly I darkend the sky, lightened the water, and saturated the color. I also used NeatImage to sharpen the picture, and I added a little bit of a soft focus look to it.

The beauty here is rugged and almost turbulent. A very strong visual with a gem of a sky to complement the rocky formations. Congratulations on your top ten finish.

An awesome take. Just wondering about the choice to have the cliff focused sharply all the way out - to me it makes the photo a little flat and unreal. But if that was the intention, I'm zipping up my mouth.

The colors are so rich and vivid on my monitor (I wonder if the saturation was increased?) I like the composition and I can almost hear those waves :-)

As gorgeous as this is, it just looks really fake, almost as though it's three separate photos put together. Maybe it's the sky, which looks great; or the sharpness of the cliffs, which are cool; or the very green pathway; probably the combination of all three. I'm sure it's real, but I think maybe it's just overprocessed for my tastes.

Nice landscape shot, and good angle. Definetly a good photo but the clouds in the back seem a bit overprocessed to me. Still should do well ;)

Beautiful, but at the same time something looks off. This image has a very 2 dimensional feel to it which conflicts with my belief that I want three dimensions. The back cliff seems to be resting on top of the front cliff rather than taking up space behind it. This give the sea a bizarre appearance in that it is flat and not flat at the same time. The colors are good as is the DOF.

over processing makes the near cliff face and water in relationship to the depth of the picture a little out of place. Great idea and nice pic.

Very nice complimentary greens and blues. Lovely seascape shot. The waves' lines almost mimic the lines of the rocks on the rocky cliff.
