 I made the wooden handle out of a few small wooden blockes taped together, the strings were taped to the bottom, and weighted with pennies. I used a pretty standard setup to produce the sllouette.

*Critique Club*

Sorry for the late critique, I drew a few critiques, somehow didn't get to critique them, and just realized they were not done, so here goes.
Not really much to say here. Excellent color!! nice crisp lines, focus appears dead on. The strings look a bit jaggy, but I think that's just the texture of the strings. There's a small area in the bottom right corner that is lacking the crisp focus of the rest of the photo, and looking at the photo as a whole, it doesn't affect the photo much in the way of how appealing it is, however, sitting here staring at the image, it does become a bit noticable and somewhat of a distraction.
Nicely done silhouette. I only see one small spot of the lower wrist that was not totally emerged in blackness. Overall a very tiny nit picky detail however.
Placement of the subject is great, I see nothing that needs improving upon.
This is an excellent image, and your score and placing reflect that nicely. Wish I had more to add, but consider that a great compliment.

Excellent image for this challenge. Just a fantstic silhouette but what I like most is the classic case of all conspiracy of who is pulling the strings. Great idea for the challenge

Nice composition but way too much contrast for my taste, I definately want to see some texture and nuances in a photo and as far as I can see there are pretty much just two tones in the image, pitch black and deep red. Just wanted to explain why I only gave it a 5.

You know, if you switched the sihlouette to white instead this would be a great add for the iPuppeteer. Great shot, and the only thing I dont really like is how a couple of the strings blur towards the end. That feels like the only thing thats really detracting from this shot.

Wow, this is really I high impact image. If I could vote I would give it a ten. With a lot of white (err... red?) space off the the right, it would make a great desktop background too.

very bold! has a graphic designy feel to it. the focus is good and sharp without having jaggies on the diagonals, which I know can be tough to achieve. nice work.
