Well generally I suck at indoor shots, so I wanted to I guess do one as a way of learning new things.

I put a huge piece of white cardbord down, taped it in place so it would not move. The paint bottle is also taped, as it was on a slight angle, and would tend to roll.

I desaturated all but red. (Which was still a problem, as I would prefer the whole bottle to be in b&w). Changed the color balance a little to lighten up the image, Neat Imaged it. Brightened it a few more times, as well as turning up the reds. Sharpened, then sized it.

A little too much white/light in this shot. Nice idea though!

That is a nice liquid. A bit much saturation - the red leaking into the shadow. I wish the paint spill were a bit larger, more splattered perhaps. Id like a closer crop.

The top of the bottle blends a bit with the paint, but I like this. The shadow is a bit grainy, but not much you can do about that other than process it out. Good job overall. I like this shot.

The shadow really makes this shot for me along with the red color of the paint, and I like the way the brush, bottle and shadow are all laid out here in an interesting arrangement of composition. I just think the lighting is too bright and the shadows should be darker. You may have been able to accomplish both by moving the light further from the bottle.

Oversaturated red detracts from your shot, in my opinion, particularly at the top left corner of the bottle.

Hmm. on first thought I was interested in seeing this composed more off center but after reviewing it I think the asymmetry of the shadows gives the organic feel that I was looking for with the stark white background. The bottle does blend with the shadows and the spilled paint a little too much for my taste but I like this subject.

I think you pushed this quite a bit in post processing, which hurt it more than helping. 4

Interesting shot. Not sure about the artefacts in the red - over-saturation? There's a nice quality to this though - good work.

The shadow is a bit harsh and I can't see where the bottle stops and the paint starts - I find these features of your picture a bit annoying.

I like the idea, but there's a confusion of intention - the grey shadow doesn't play well with both the space behind it and the red paint, one aspect would have been enough. Maybe a lower angle would have been more effective.
