Wow this is a very unique perspective. Great our of the box thinking! I would have to say my favorite aspect is the lighting, it really is amazing. I think you did a wonderful job filling the frame with an excellent choice in colors. I think it is extremely hard to compete is such a large challenge. It looks like the voters were looking for drastic/high contrast images for the winners. This image really does feel "alive" maybe its the lighting or color but it feels so real looking at the image. I think you probably would have scored better if more people were able to see your image, I always wonder when people only vote on that 20% how that really effects everyone's score. The only thing I could possibly say about changing the image (which maybe not have effected it much at all) would be to come out a little and include the tips on the stamen on the top and the pistil on the right (hopefully those are the right terms). The water droplet are a extremely well captured aspect in this photo. The clarity of each drop is truly amazing. Great job on this photo! You should be very proud.

Whoa...you've stopped me in my tracks! For a minute this reminded me of one of those medical films of our insides, while alive of course, you know like "The life of a fallopian tube"...something like that. There is just something so "alive" about this..so "fleshy", it didn't "register" as a flower at first ...and the light is gorgeous...very nicely done.

Wow, a very good guess on how things would look to an ant. I loke how the middle of the flower looks like it's glowing, from a warm innate light within.

The ANT or the BEE? I'm thinking bee, but it's really gorgeous.
