 I am on vacation at the beach. I am using my laptop computer to process this picture for the challenge. It looks OK on photoshop, but looks different after downloading to DPC. The sand appears blurred out. I hope it is the computer and not the actual picture as it appears to everyone else. I guess I will find out when the scores start to come in:(.
The picture was rotated slightly to line up the horizon, increased saturation, contrast and sharpness and cropped. Neat Image to smooth things out.

This deserved a much higher placement. I still stand by my 8 vote. Nice. Congrats are still in order with lots of entries and you're still pretty high up!!

While the colors in this are beautiful and quite dramatic, I feel that the perspective on it isn't quite as interesting. Perhaps setting the focal point for the end of the jetty? would have made the shot more interesting, or a slightly different angle, more in line with it, from a lower shooting point...

This is very pretty. And different too. Not the typical sea scene, which I like. The oranges of the sunset reflecting in the tide is wonderful. Very interesting as the wood draws your eye out into the water. Perfect leading line.
