 A bit out of the box.
You know how scary it is to do something different?
This is DPChallenge you know?

My guess, right before this challenge is that it will score probably a 5.8 – 6.1
But I also guess it will get me lot's of comments and around 7 favorites before the challenge ends.
It's a kind of love me hat me photo I guess.

Why do I send it in if I know it is not going to do well?
Well first of all, I think it's a good picture
2nd I'ts 100% my idea and my styling.
3rd You never know what happens, people might “get it” or “dig it” and vote it higher then expected.

Until Saturday I had a different idea. Because all my real models are unreachable, I had to find somebody else.
I knew Air (the model) would come over to Holland on Saturday for a holliday in Holland.
It helped that Air and I know eachother allready a few years. She's a singer in Thailand (beautifull voice) and she's outspoken when it comes to fashion. Not afraid to try stuff and she's not as shy as “normal” thai girls. (Yes Thai girls are shy)
I was thinking about a Fettish photo, something with very short red latex, I talked over the idea with her, and she had no problem with it.

So I went to a shop to buy the props, but only a short red latex top and short skirt where about 150 Euro!!! So I dropped that idea imidiatly.

Drove home, very disapointed. I liked the idea with the red sexy clothes, and I promissed her to make a good photo of her. What to do?

Well, after being disapointed for about 10 minutes I turned the car around and drove to the mall again. I had a new Idea, and this time it would work.

Well the idea is what you see in this photo.

After looking at it for a while now, I am glad I got this idea, I don't think the other photo would have been that rewarding. This is. It's fun, fresh, daring, different and original.

Shot with 100% natural light and makeup that wasn't tested on animals, so this photo is 100% enviroment friendly.

This is 100% what I had in mind. I like it and I think it's one of the most fun photo's i've done.

That's whats counts I guess. I had so much fun.

Model: Air, she's my girlfriends sisters husbands brothers daughter. (get it?)

Makeup: Lakkhana

What I hope is that people will recognize my style, no, I hope I have a style...
Well.... To make this short, I hope it doesn't get burned because of stepping out of the DPC box (with one foot)

Shot with Natural light. 100% the same place and setup as my Breeze (blue ribbon winner (Yay!) so light from a window on the left side and hairlight from a window behind the model. Reflector used to fill in shadows. (If you look at the catchlight you will see the reflector (the lower catchlight(to lazy to clone it out))

My initial reaction...OMG! What comes to mind is...streetwalker. I think it's a fun photo, great colors and wild, but your shot brings out some serious sexual overtones - at least to me. Good luck in the challenge. I'm sure the male voters will love this one.

This just makes me smile. Very original and I love the major saturation. Very cool. I might clone out the loose hairs on her forehead and the focus seems sharper on her hair than her eyes. But minor things cause the attitude of this shot is enough to make it great!

What a nice model. Funny picture but MORE THAN THAT, this is a unique picture utilizing the a spirit of life with the use of lively colors, expressions and lighting. You should riboon...if I am the sole judge.

I love the setup and the expression. Personally I'm not crazy about any of the portraits with lots of post-processing, but this isn't too overdone. It keeps me from giving it a 9 or 10, but I'll give it an 8.

did you focus on the subject's hair or did you smooth the face? looks like hair in better focus than facial features? I like the creativity in the subject and background.

I find that far more pop art than a portrait. I like the colors and the pow of it, but it goes into a completely different category in my book.
