 Held up a red leaf and shot the backlit veins.

Cropped, adjusted levels, hue, contrast, brightness. Applied neatimage to sharpen a bit and cut down some background noise.

I like it as much as \"Puddle of Leaves\" probably more.... as it appears more authentic. Warm, battered, backlit leaf, glowing - glorious red-orange , shine on the edge....... Sharpness is arguable - I\'ll acquiesce on that point - this works for your autumn perspective floating amid this moody backdrop.

Beautiful shot, but my question is how it fits the channenge and that will cost a couple of points.

A pretty fall photo, but for me, doesn't have the "wow" of pespective (I'm a fairly literal person) compared to other entries in the challenge.

nice image, good contrast, good colors, I like the composition too, but... where is the relation with the contest theme? Sorry if I don't get it.

Very nice colors and texture (though I wish the texture dominated more). Lovely background blur. My only criticism is that it might have worked better with portrait orientation.
