I like this picture: I love the soft colours, the expression, and the beautiful out of focus background. |

I like the dof. What's up with his eyes. |

I love the light and how crisp the image is. Cute model, too. |

hmm the model seems to have squinted at the shutter. one way to avoid this is to have the model blink several times or close his/her eyes before the shot. and then open them right before you take the picture. |

I think the DOF is just a bit too narrow - I find the shoulder blurry a bit distracting from an interesting face/expression. But the bokeh is nice. |

A simple, unpretentious portrait, and all the more effective for that. Love the well-chosen depth of field. At first glance this looks like a quick snapshot, but it's not ... it's a deceptively skilful work. 8. |

Gosh I wish people would do subtitles, it would go a long way toward helping someone understand a photo, but in this case the photo is speaking for itself. It's very well done, straight on shot works very well in this case, some good catchlight in the one eye that looks like he is able to focus. DOF is right on. Nose ring would be distracting if i didn't know what it was. Great exposure. Overall 10. Even without knowing what the title says. |

Not bad. My first reaction was the he either just woke up or is stoned...then again he might have allergies....For me, I find the background a little busy and distracting even though it's out of focus. |

Great use of DOF, good colors and expression, a bit grainy (reminds me of my 20D's ISO 3200 setting, banding a bit) but grains don't bother me that much. Good job. |

Nice clear shot....like the texture of the beard. Background blur is good too. His eyes seem a little squinty, I suspect the sun was strong. |

Very nice portrait. Nice natual coloring and expression, although I wish he wasn't so squinty but that just may be him and you've captured him well. Nice light and composition. Well done |

You look like you cried all night...how clear one's eyes are the day after.
Gently lit. Natural colors. Nice DOF...though a little more sharpness at the neck would keep the head connected... |
