| The average score is unbelievable. Not to take anything away from the ribbon winners or those that placed higher, but this picture is superior to most in the challenge. I thought it would place in the top 5. I am at a loss to understand why. |

This is by far one of the top 5 for sure and it was absurd how it didn't do better. Some comments on this just blow me away. This is tack sharp, great skin tones, great composition, the eyes are so clear and sparkly.
I just don't get it. |

| I thought I had commented on this shot during the challenge. I really think this is a good one. Love the combination of innocence and almost grunge or gothic tones. (At least that's how it comes across to me.) The eyes are truly remarkable - intense. Very unusually appealing shot that definitely sticks with you. Great job! |

| I don't think angel effect works well with freckles. Look at the other obvious freckle portrait and you will see the difference. 6 |

| IThis is a lovely little lady, but I find the thick dark eyeliner on a child that looks this young to be a bit much. Instead of enhancing her eyes in a positive way, it appears to make them scream at you in a negative way. It seems that the overall photo has a bit too much saturation or contrast making it seem too harsh. I do feel it was a good choice to fill the frame with your subject. |

This picture has lots of character! The only suggestion that I have is the whites of the eyes look too white. Other than that good job!

| For some reason, this one feels just a bit too much "in my face"....too close. I don't really know why that is because I like the portrait. The lighting is good, the clarity and focus are excellent. Good job bringing attention to the eyes. I just keep thinking I would like it better backed off just a bit. |

Love those eyes! It would seem to be slightly unsharp? perhaps the dof could have been

| This is so outstanding that I cannot explain. The "in your face" feeling compells me to just gaze into those beautiful blue eyes. The freckles are so charming and give it an innocence. The clarity is superb. Beautiful skin tones as well. Bravo!!! 10 |
