Hi Steve. Congrats on your excellent score of 6.0794. There are alot of enrants who strive for that much longer than it has taken you to acheive it. Primarily, I'd say a good part of your success was due to the Infared element of your shot. They are just soooo cool and very few photos on this site utilize this technique. I'd like to get a filter but I'm still paying off my latest lens. Anyhow, you've created a very good perspective of this roadway and the technical aspects of the shot are very tight. I suspect had you included a few more subject elements into the shot, it may have fetched a higher score. Other than that, If it ain't broke, you don't fix it. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your future submissions.

Wow, I love this IR shot. Most I don't really but this one stands out to me.
So, did you have to set up road blocks to get it this deserted? ;) |

Actually, I just have a question for you...what sort of camera are you using (is it digital), what sort of IR/red filter are you using, and what's the aperture/exposure time on something like this? |

Why is it that you can use infra-red, but I cant use layers or selections?
Cool stuff. |

I love good IR stuff! I like this as the IR look enhances the challenge topic. |

Very good lighting and contrast from the effects. Infrared? Not sure about the composition, and light pole distracting. |

I like the single word title. The infrared of the trees is cool against the warm gold sky and brown of the street. I like that the sign is leaning - it adds a touch of variation to the symmetry of the lined trees. I also like the tree on the far right side, being curved ever so slightly like it's trying to sneak out of the shot. The composition of this is really well done. The bench helps to ground the shot. Imaginative. |
