 Well if i did anything right... i didn't give up on a shot. i had seen this location before in alot of prints sold on the street corners around here. Always from the same angle...straight on, mostly in winter. well i went and took some shots during the day from straight on because that best highlights the cityscape. luckily the lake is funky green from the algae so i didn't like any of them. i thought the shot at night would take on a whole new look and remove the focus from the lake. I knew i had a good angle from what i saw with the tree branch silhouettes and the curve of the bridge, but it was dark so i wasn't totally sure of the final product until I got home Unlike "The Journeyman", which was shot at Bow Bridge a few blocks north of this one, the orignal isn't much different except for some needed sharpening. I probably shot some at 4.0 which is the most open my lense gets and with a bit lower ISO, but noise didn't turn out to be a problem and sharpness did (as I had to basically guess the focus). I do like the painterly feel of it. It could stand some improvement exposure wise. I'm sure there's quite a few shots below me that better deserve this position. I hope you guys like a shot I take outside of Central Park some day ;)

Nicely done! Good composition,exposure,dof. Nice light. Wish the sky was a little deeper and the buildings weren't there but they are pretty well hidden. Definitely one of my top 5. Probably a winner!

Wow - Magnificent shot. I'd be interested to read how you managed some of these effects in basic editing - I don't doubt that it's legal, I just wanna know how to do it myself! :-) Nice capture.
