 When my dad went to college, he called these 4-5 evergreen trees the "Black Forest." Apparently when drunk people came back from the bars at night, they would get lost in these trees. I find it really funny, especially since there are only 5 of them! I had a few pictures similar to this one as a vertical picture, but for some reason I liked this one a lot better in the horizontal format.

I basically just cropped it then messed with the colors - contrast, saturation, lighting

Was this actually taken in the Black Forest? I used to live there... Good lighting above the tree.

A bit too contrasty in the foreground...not sure if it's the reflection or if it is intentional.

A bit overexposed. The light coming through the branches overwhelms some of them.

Nice image, but it makes me dizzy. Very cool effect of the branches, but maybe a bit OOF and needing a different or tighter crop. Still a good shot.

Would be stronger in this challenge with the trunk cropped out, and rotate 90° to the right.

Boring, and busy, at the same time if that makes any sense. There is just nothing to set it apart and the colors are all deep in the boring range.

not much in focus here, although i see that its meant to be abstract, but the fuzziness is a bit hard on the eyes
