Wow. I can't believe this didn't break 6. Clearly one of the top shots in the challenge. |

Very nice take on this challenge.
The off angle really adds a feeling to it too. |

Bumping up after second look. Nice and crisp, good contrast. I hope this does well for you. |

Perfect example of both high contrast and a great photo that has real impact--9. |

Lovely moody shot - would look good on a postcard! The 'vintage feel doesn't quite work for me - spoilt by the modern neckstrap, watch and glasses - otherwise, great shot. Would lilke to see a little more highlight at the bottom of the picture. 9. |

Nice lighting. The hand positioning seems a little odd, but good shot. |

I really like this shot. Being a jazz lover, it drew my eye immediately. This has alot of mid tones which really aren't considered "high contrast" but the focus and the composition is well done. |

Love the old fashion feel of this. |

engaging composition, really like the face partially hidden in shadows... background distracts slightly (perhaps a bit of burning would help?) one of my favorites this challenge |

It's a pity that there's so little to recognize in the face. I'd have preferred it completely dark rather than this. That apart, This is a cool image. The saxophon leads the eye smoothly up to the face, the neck makes a curve and the arms lead my attention back down again. Excellent composition. 9. |

Really Nice shot. I would have liked just a bit more light/detail in his face |

Great focus and tones. I like the angle/perspective too. IMHO the border detracts from the overall impression of this particular shot though. Still, a great capture. |

John Setzler, as Ilive and breathe. Your typical excellent control of the BW conversion. One of my high scores thus far. |
