Composition:I just love the use of negitive space and the depth you gave this with the angle of your shot.
Lighting: the chosen/available lighting is a bit harsh for such a reflective shiny surface and I believe it to be the downfall of a wonderful image. My suggestion:A white sheet could be hung from the celing to act as a diffuser or you could have had the light behind your subject and used a reflector(or a few pieces of aluminum foil with the non shiny side used as the reflector) to bounce the light onto your subject. this would have made the light less harsh and would have minimized the hot spot on the wood and the strong reflection on the metal piece at the end of the strings. this would have also elimated the reflection of the surrounding room.
Focus: excellent focus and placed perfect for this subject and wonderful use of the DOF!
Color: your Reds are perfect as they show your grain detail wonderfully! the yellows and magenta's seem to have been a bit over saturated. great job on geting the true blacks and the burning.
If you have any questions please feel free to PM me and I will try to help in any way i can. have a great day and i look forward to seeing more of your work. :o) ~~Cher~~ |

A good idea and perspective, but I think the lighting could have been a LOT better. A nice try though. |

Decent contrast, but my eyes keep reverting to that one overwhelming highlight in the middle. |

I like this a lot but find the reflection of the counter top a bitg distracting. Very creative. |

I voted this a 7.. my reason is because it's a little too orange for my taste and the light spot is so distracting and the reflection from everything else. Otherwise, had those been adjusted, I would have marked it a favorite and wish you the best of luck and hoping for you to get into the top 5 at least! Still.... GOOD LUCK |

great angle, and very effective use of negative space. the oranges and reds are lovely. I wish the glare from the light weren't visible. A polarizer might have helped cut down on the reflections from the room |

This is why my pic is not scoring well.

Nice guitar shot... only thing that has to bee fixed is to take away the reflection ... you can do that by putting some white sheet in front of it |

Interesting perspective on the composition. Wish the glare wasn't there... |

What I dig about this how flattened the guitar seems because of the contrast, angle, and crop. |

Great rich tones and composition. Not crazy about the white spot (light source reflection) on the guitar though. Still, very nice image. |

Great DOF. Reflections from what appears to be a ceiling light and a countertop are mixed in among the woodgrain. |
