 its Maaike.. my adorable 21yr old niece daughter of my sister
the two of us drove down to the Provence last week south of France that is
i stayed a few days and she is staying to study for half a year the ~French language
all on her own outthere..wow !!
young people can be amazing i think }

so we had a great time Maaike and I
together singing all the 'hits' of Bonnie 'Prince' Billie while driving down to Aix-en-Provence
she let me have my space and i gave her room whenever needed
i think we were a kool pair }}

on top i came home with a bunch nice images from the trip to this absolutely beautiful piece of ~France the Provence
and its true the light is just{{magic}}overthere

not much left of it in this image tho
hussled a bit with curves and contrast and mixed a b/w in for i liked this shade of blue
the deformations are done by water and sunshine only

she reads piles of Camus has a mind of her own and a very enjoyable appearance so i guess she will be allright

so on a personal level this image might be kind of symbolic for her diving into this French adventure`
the blue is a reference to the endlessly beautiful blue sky off the Provence

Although I like the shot itself (although I wonder if your model hates the way the water distorted her body-tee hee), for me, the blues and blacks are similar in tonal values. Also, the black border is a bit too thick. I think it would be better as a 1 or 2 pt. border.

Great photo but I don't think it captures the essence of 'high contrast'. It would have scored high with me if it met the challenge better. I only see a few spots with *visual* high contrast, and nothing that contrasts anything else by the other meanings of the word.

PS: in this challenge I was looking for photos that contain both visual high contrast and things that contrast eachother in different ways. Your photo is still very nice.

I really like the pattern and color of the water. However, the swimmer is not portrayed very flattering.

Really unusual shot. The distortion of the water on the model is not especially flattering, but it is very interesting. Have to give you some props for originality here.

I am a swimmer and I have to say that this is the worst moment you can take picture of someone in a breaststroke. wait until the feets are straight and then shoot ... could also be nice to see some bubles :)
The contrast is there but this picture does nothing for me.

Interesting how the water distorts her and makes her almost look one dimensional. Cool illusion and I love the colors and the grid on the pool floor!!!

this is very different.....not sure if I like it or not? There is contrast though! Little creepy for some reason..good luck!! -reminds me of a frog LOL
