Pretty - nice use of negative space. This has a lonesome feel to it and I appreciate the originality of the shot.

Sorry, I can't really agree with your branch interpretation. Not a full markdown as it almost fits. There is a very slight sun branch or sun beam coming off the trees below. It is overshadowed too much by the gash in the clouds.

Technically, you know about the speck. Crooked horizon.

Interesting sky pic though

Very powerful image. Wish the green sunspot wasn't there, but I know there's no spot editing in a basic challenge. Nice shot!
