I shot this in the backyard. I saw this shot and liked the way it looked. With a little suggestion from my wife I think it turned out just right.

Thank you to all those that commented. Just to answer a couple remarks.

I wanted the summer-like feel to it, B&W or Sepia doesn't cut it.

I did try an image taken from the front, it didn't work for me.

And lastly, the crop of this photo is the only one that would work. If I cropped the half a foot on either side, I can only imagine how odd that would that look. Think about it. And if I cropped any wider, it would become a panoramic.

Nope, this is the photo I wanted. I got a 5.8, oh well. I am still happy with it.

I am sure someone has already said you should have cropped the side shoes out. If they are not needed to draw attention to the subject, then they shouldn't be in the picture. I absolutely love the lighting and the action. I think it might have been a little better to show the shoes from the front view for more interest.

little more shoes, little less other things, maybe would be better for this challenge

I think the would be better either a little wider so that the other pair of feet were showing on each side or cropped a bit more so that they are not showing. Just feels cut off.

I have to say that I would have liked this shot a whole lot better if the feet on the right and left side that are half in the frame were either all in the frame or cropped out of it, as it is they are bugging the hell out of me. I like this shot however, it´s got a nice summer mood about it. 6 from me.

Nice lighting. Cool shadows. I like how there is a color change in the shoes. Black, tan, black. Creative.

I like the shadowing on the grass. I'm wondering if taken from the side and finally presented with a black and white filter, it wouldn't have have more pizazz. Hmmmm - Just my opinion. I do like your imaginative take on it. 7
