After Challenge:
Okay people, let̢۪s get one thing straight. That square-ish thing next to the shoes? It̢۪s NOT a bran muffin, brownie, muffin, or any type of food. Frankly I have no clue WHAT that is. (It was just on the table when I took this picture, and I thought, what the heck.) I know I kind of risked a lot using this picture, and I definitely know I went a little overboard with the wild colors. (I got all saturization happy) Apparently not the best picture I couldve taken, and not the best picture I̢۪ve editted (so far). Hopefully I'll do better in the next competition. And I'll be sure to remember not to have a confusing title or objects in my photo that look like random bits of bran muffins.

(Thanks to those who pointed that out, I never would've noticed)

Not sure what it's all about but visually it works for me. Scratch on floor is distracting but colors are vibrant , lighting is good.

Terrific compostition and multi source lighting. The backlight (the window?) is so important to the overall balance and impact as it draws you to the hero of the shot - the product. This could be a professional product shot for the shoes mag ad. Niggles are 1) is it sharp and 2) the little white spot on table foreground (cost it a point) - 8

i dont really see how the shoes fit in with what is surrounding them. reflections/hot shots on shoes and on the floor in the back is distracting.

A bit more sharp and it could be a "clarks" promo. Nice, original.

And shoes are associated with dried up plants and time...?

I like this phto because of how you have the black shoes and then hace the leaves next to it.

It's very random and the title is confusing. I don't know why there's a bran muffin in your picture...but the colors are AWESOME nonetheless. The shoes aren't overbearing so you can still have a nice appreciation for the concept. <3
