 just had to take another pic of my beloved 10 yr old converse, i did a similar shot a while back for texture, but i ended up posting a shot of the side of the shoe, (i posted the similar shot in popphoto)makes me wonder what ranking i would have gotten if i had posted the similar shot instead

hm, I was considering submitting a very similar picture, except I had only one shoe in the frame. nice use of a single light source.

"me"? And where's part 1? But the image is good, especially the lighting. Only thing I'd change is that tip of lace sticking out by the left shoe.

I like this photo alot because the shoes seem to be fading in and out of the photo. I also like the whole vintage affect.

I really like the tones in this picture and the lighting works well too. Despite it being just a picture of shoes, it still holds some interest to me as a viewer. Nice shot... one of the btter ones I have seen so far. One flaw that I can see though is I wish there was just a tad bit mroe light on the left side so that you could see a bit more of the show. Seems to fade off into darkness right now. 8 from me.

Yep nice. These shoes look likk ethey have character and a story to tell. To me, it's what you don't see that is more alluring than what you do see.
