along with the title i get a sense of a long day is over, can almost picture the owner now barefoot with a corona relaxing away from the daily grind, i like the dof here and how the tie is laying there right were it was dropped

this would be perfect for a "ties" challenge, but i feel like the shoe is not important enough in this image for it to really meet the challenge.

i personally feel like you concentrated too much on the tie,u can't really see the shoes.it would've been cool if this was a tie contest.5

The tie is a great piece in addition to the shoes. Nice background as well.

Great detail in this shot, nice colors and dof. Good luck ;-)

Great colour, and I love the cropping. You have made it interesting.

The deep red color really stands out against the black shoes and really makes an impact in this picture. Howerver I whould have preferred to see it compsed slightly different (maybe at a different angle) to get more of both shoes in the frame.

You have covered up too much of the shoe with the tie, but good concept...

i wish i could see the shoes a bit more. tie kind of takes away from it, a little to much red.

There were many shoes-left-on-the-floor-as-a-metaphor shots in this challenge, but yours was far and away the most successful. I feel the inclusion of the necktie was the dominant clincher. The way it is positioned speaks to the formality of the start of the work day (top left with the knot still in place) and then lower, how it wilts and bends thoughout the day with all the navigations its owner must accomodate, until it is spent and flat out exhausted as indicated at bottom right. This "timeline" in rich red tones literally wraps the wingtip (the business day) as it is removed from his foot and his life for at least one more night of rest and recuperation until he is back at it again tomorrow. So nicely done and technically perserved so that the viewer can read this story in comfort, like an evening paper. One of my top ten picks for this challenge. 9.

I like the colors. I like how there's nothing in the backgrond that's distracting. I like how the perspectiveness?

Nice idea, well executed. I like the depth of field particularly. The diagonal composition is strong, with a good balance of roughly 2/3 balck, and 1/3 white. And the splash of colour spilling down the shoe is the coup de grace. Well done. 10

Ugh, you said it, just how I feel at the end of a day! Nice shot.

Nice contrast, but the lighting missed the shoe.

The tie appears to be the main subject. The shoes secondary.
