That looks just like Alberta Falls in the Rockies ??? I have many pictures of Alberta falls that look so much like this, and I've seen so many others' pictures of them, but they all look a little different. Amazing how different people can take a picture of a similar subject and they will all express their take on it differently.
Great job! I love it. |

I like this one the least. Don't get me wrong, it's spectacular, but compared to the others it doesn't have the same punch. The sky seems a little too bright IMHO. |

I like this one the best. You can get a sense of scale with the large pine trees in the background. The low cloud (or fog) ceiling adds some drama. Another thing I like is the composition, the way the waterfall cuts across the image diagonally and the trees in the foreground right add more depth and dimension. Overall - very nice! |

I never worry about so-called "printable ratios"; I make the image be the best it can be and worry about all that later. Youc an always create a print file that inludes white borders to regularize it for a generic print service like DOC.
This image, anyway, seems to me the most blah of the 4. It really doesn't compel my attention. |

Unfortunately that is the left of the original image, but I can crop from the right. So you think aligning the start of the falls a little closer to the edge would be more appealing. I will try that.
So for the second question, when cropping do you use the preset sizes such as 8x10, 4x6 so its still in a printable ratio? Which means some of the top would be cropped or bottom. I have a tough time with cropping and still keeping a printable ratio. |

If you can I would go back and crop a little more off the right of the photo and not so much off the left. I think as of now it is too close to center. |
