| Wow! Amazing... This is a beautiful shot. I love the color harmony - the way the dog's fur almost matches the water reflections. When I first saw this, I thought the dog was on a very tall cliff, looking down into the clouds! But then I saw the trees. I wonder how it would look if you cropped the trees out? A fantastic photo! Good job! |

| This is a lovely photo. Very unusual the way you caputured it, who would think to photograph a dog from the upper back like that. The colors and setting is perfect. Congrats on your high placement. |

Wow, this picture came by accident after about 50 other "dog & lake" shots. I've learned no matter how you set up a photo, nature is in control of the lighting and atmosphere, movement of the subject etc.
I am such a novice with Photoshop, I feel proud that this photo is in the top ten with very little post-work, just de-saturated a little of the natural blue (incredible colors after a hail storm) and sharpened his (my dog Ruger)fur a little. Thank you for all the positive comments, last Tuesday was exhilarating when the score crept up and up. |

| Though it should have been evident on my first viewing of this that the dusk was a reflection, it wasn't...Not sure if that was your intent or not. Pretty effective image, like the illusion you captured. My only nit would have been to see more of the lab's face and somehow still have him looking at the dusk. Not sure how that might have been done so it is more of a suggestion than a criticism. Fascinating...think the lab thought so as well. |

| first glance i thought wild...sci-fi fantasy, a dog looking over a cliff into a bizarre abyss. i think if you didn't include the tree reflection i might still be thinking it and i'd like it better that way...though obviously i'm not the brightest bulb. |

| Oh wow. I wonder what the dog is looking at. The colors are both soothing and exciting. I wish that I could make something out in the pinks of the upper right corner. I wouldn't mind hanging this in my office. |

| my first reaction was "too close to the edge!". My perception was the dog was on a cliff looking DOWN at the clouds - love the color - too bad the dog is facing away |

| Really cool. Love this the way it is. However, another edit - the tree reflections could be cut out to make it look as if the dog is on a cliff high over the clouds. At any rate, the lighting is great. Should be in the top 10 at least. |

| One of the best shots in this challenge, I mean it. Detail in the reflection of the water is second to none! Warm tones are inviting and pleasing to the eye. Love the way you've captured your dog looking at the reflection of the incoming storm. |

| It took me a little while to realise this was a reflection in the water. If you cropped out the vegitation on the top of the photo, this would be creepy! I'm amazed at how clear the reflection is. Great job! |

| What an eyecatcher. Nicely composed. I've got a dog, and I know yours is probably just looking at a smelly spot on the rocks, but it looks to us (the viewer) as if he is stretching the bounds of his (or her) limited mind; contemplating the reflected sky. Wonderful. |
