It fits the challenge, although I think "dumbell and lacey" (like the old show "cagney and lacey) would have been a cuter name. It just isn't too exciting, and for some reason you have some odd double/triple shadows coming off the dumbell, possible 2or 3 lighting sources fighting for control.

If the the dumbbell had a rougher texture you would have an interesting contrast between it and the lace. Without that contrast the combination of these two objects seems random.

interesting combination. i like the shadows. just wish i didn't keep trying to figure out what's under the lace in the bottom right corner. nice lighting and detail, though.

The two object have little to do with each other. Would you ever take this picture outside this challenge? The technicals aren't bad. There is a little bit of blown highlight on the arm of the dumbbell. 6

The detail is the picture is great - the crackling in the dumbell finish and the detail of the lace. Interesting pair.
