Very nice macro and for me, the black background adds to the shadows on the petals. My only criticism is that because of the shadow on the upper stem it appears the flower itself is "floating" off of the stem.

really like your lighting. i think the exposure is perfect with the shadowed stem barely showing. Your processing feels a bit harsh ...perhaps that was your intent.

A classic photo the belongs on a garden calender! On topic, good cropping (but I would have liked to see it less centered). Great color and contrast, including the shadows on the leaves.

WOW What a beautiful flower. It's like it has a matte finish on it. Great close up!!! The vivid pink is lovely against the black.
