 While walking along a path by the river---where young folks are known to hang out and party---I noticed this lone shoe, tossed on the far side of a fence. I imagined a raucous group around the bonfire one night, cruelly tossing the shoes of a passed out friend over the fence, leaving him to return home shoeless. Yeah, kids are like that.

As the photographer, I thought the same. Maybe I mis-understand the "basic editing" rules and try to do as little as possible to the picture.

I think that this could benefit from more interesting lighting and a little adjustment to make the colors, particularly the greens of the grass, "pop" out a little. It looks very flat as it is (along with the sole!)

A little to boring even thought the idea of the photo is very original it does not really catch my attention when I look at it. The busynbess of the leaves and branches distracts me a little bit.
