well it took a second to figure out what this was a picture of. I think the image could have been more interesting with a little more context. perhaps more of the chain or cable holding the hook. I think it also could be improved by framing the image with the hook off to one side. You have an interesting texture on the ground to work with but, yeah i think lke i said before, i need a little more context to make it interesting for me. I also wonder if you over sharpened this image a bit. It looks like it was a bit soft (blurry) to start with and you gave it a healthy dose of unsharp mask or similar. Good start, and welcome to DPC.

nice record shot, the hook seems a little soft and with the lack of shadows the is no real drama. |

im not sure how this fits your title, and the focual point being in the center of the frame makes this nothing but a snapshot. |

I see drought but loneliness is a far stretch for an image with nothing sensate in it... |
