One of my daughter's Bronze Baby Shoes.
Very little processing.

I hand-held a plastic magnifying glass
in front of the main lens - my "L" Plastic.
(Hey - it's not glass after all...) LOL

This could have been fairly boring, but it works for me for some reason. I'm not good enough to identify why, but I really like this. Congrats! 9

I think a tighter crop would strengthen this image a lot. love teh focus, and DOF - great work!

I was really surprised to see how many shots there are, trying to get this angle of the shoe.
The most of them, however, tried to focus on teh shoe, instead of the lace hole, which is actually the interesting thing, since this is where the shape changes.
This is just a great picture! interesting, hard to tell if it's a real one or a statue, and I am a long time sucker for shallow DOF.
Say, is that blur should really be there? sorry... couldn't resist.
Very nice take on this oh-so-boring challenge! 8

Nice contrast. Lighting is dark, but interesting.

I know the subject is a cliche, but the texture, lighting and the compositional elements just lend themselves to be part of a highly sophisticated photograph. This is extremely well done and one of my top ten picks for this challenge. 9

Very cute idea, its blurry and smudged.

Very nice closeup but it's not sharply focused. Try a bit of USM and it'll bring out more texture and focus. 7

is the blur at the top suppose to be there?

Lighting, composition, subject preparation, lateral thinking and execution all make this a 10
