Todd, this shot is awesome. I still think it should have won this challenge, but oh well.
Keep the great shots coming. I really like the clarity of your work.

Really good job -- I want to try your duotone color scheme sometime. |

Again, gotta say this is an awesome shot. I must admit that I'm looking at it a bit differently now that I have read that you shot it in your bathroom, though :) |

very nice lighting, beautiful tones. I think i would have preferred a slightly different crop to get a little more or less of the face..i don't know what it is but the crop you have makes me feel its incomplete or missing something somehow, but very nicely done nonetheless. |

This doesn't really do much for me. It's nicely toned, although I think it would have worked better without the arc of (shirt? shoulder?) at the bottom center, which is a bit distracting. |

Great, looks like he just stepped out of a John Steinbeck novel. I don't normally care for "people pix", but this one just pulled me in and didn't let go. |

Very nice photo. I'm not quite sure why you cropped it with just a fraction of the chin out because I find that a little bit distracting -- cropping it a little higher, for me, would have put the focus more on the eyes. But that's a very tiny quibble. 9 |

One of my favourites this week. Good composition and the sepia tone is good, perhaps a little red as I see it. Focus and cropping is perfect. A black t-shirt and the disturbing shoulder would have disappeared. But that´s just a detail. Meets the challenge very well. Well done and good luck! |

Gripping detail. The way light glistens off eyebrows, eyelashes and beard bristles give the photo demension. Dimension really makes a duotone - so Isay perfect for this challenge! but one tiny little thing - wish that corner of shoulder (?) wasn't there. 9 |

Stern look - very serious. Excellent lighting and composition. Not sure about the tiny bit of white shirt that's poking up from behind. |

Beautifully lit and perfect DOF. Did you try the same pose without his shoulder showing in the background? Or even just cropping this photo just enough to loose the shoulder? Might make a great shot even more powerful. |

Wow! In the thumbnail I thought this was going to be a very plain portrait, but now, big, it's incredible. This guy's face is AWESOME! Really cool textures here, and his eyes are superb! Nicely lit, and the photo tells a story. I love the sepia, just a very well done photo, that hits you and keeps your attention. Solid 10! |

Well this is a great picture. The contrast between black and white is awsome. Every tone in the picture is interesting and high contrast, and the tone color is not overdone. Well done! 8. |
