Composition - This was not a terrific capture. This was a good job by the photographer to make the picture as good as it is. I think you really maximized what you could get out of this subject. The colors are worn, tattered, and I believe that gives them some character and makes it not so posed and pretty. This is more real and that's well portrayed in your photo. You made this shot with the framing of the shot IMO. Kudos for that! It meets the challenge very nicely too.
Technical - This really isn't a tough shot to take by any means. I am curious to know if you took it like this or cropped it to achieve this framing. Exposure is excellent as is the focus. Real nice work.
Overall - I think its a good shot. The subject doesn't really allow anything too exceptional, but this is as well photographed as I think it could be deserted and still. Excellent framing makes this shot as good as it is. Nice work. Good luck in future challenges. - Inspzil |

| Nice. Are the grey's really grey or desaturated colors? I would suggest to have cropped it so the center of the whell is more in a Thirds position, but that may have eliminated too much yellow. Good job. |

| I like to see these unique subjects in the challege. This one...a well used merry go round...I really like the geometric feel to it. I also like the way in which you framed it, using the rule of thirds nicely. With the yellow and purple, it meets the challenge head on. I just wonder if you would have pushed the saturation a little more, if the colors would have popped out a little better. One of my favorites for the week. 9 Good luck in the challenge. |

| interesting take on the challenge. i take it you desaturated the middle sections of the "wheel"...the whiteness in the bottom left section of yellow is distracting to me. your focus is good, composition is good, it just doesn't have a ton of wow factor to me...5 |

| strong, graphic composition. good colours, interesting textures and well exposed. Doesn't hold a lot of appeal for me but you've certainly designed a good photograph here. (9) revised 10 |

| I love the subject, love the focus, love the colors. I guess I wish the shot weren't so close - I'm not sure how to make it better-I'd have to see the whole playground I guess. Anyway, I still really like it. 7. |

| Desaturation works well here. This is a very artsy shot. Excellent care taken to get the polls lined up properly. This must have been shot on an overcast day. 9 -danny |
